HOMEMADE FINGERPAINT RECIPE

Ingredients
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
1 cup cold water
Food coloring

Directions:
Put the cornstarch, salt, sugar, and water into a pot. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. The mixture will start thin, but eventually get thick. When it does, take the pot off of the stove and let the mixture cool off. Once it's cool, divide it into small containers (small jars or leftover yogurt containers work well) and add a few drops of food coloring to each. Voila! It's time to paint.

Hello everyone! Thanks Jennie for inviting me here. My name is Desiree and my husband and I are Kids Church leaders for Rancho PC. God has given us this wonderful opportunity to serve and we couldn't be happier. Yes I would have to say we are probably more blessed than they are. God is even teaching the teachers. One of our resources for fresh ideas is www.kidology.org. It has a variety of ideas. I know we will learn more from each other. God Bless you all.......

David Velasquez Comment by David Velasquez on July 8, 2008 at 3:02pm
I will start teaching soon again, I have done it for 14 years so far, and I AM EXITED!!!! Even though my following statement will probably sound like a cliché, I will share it anyways because is the most known, powerful and needed truth in all the lives of those of us call to teach: WE NEED HOLINES IN OUR LIVES, WHICH COMES FROM SPENDING TIME IN GODS FACE (CORAN DEO-LATIN). I KNOW THIS ADVICE WHICH YOU ALREADY KNOW SOUNDS GENERIC, BUT IT IS OUR FIRST LOVE REKINDLE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE IN ALL AREAS OF OUR LIVES AND SO MUCH SO IN TEACHING, in the classroom.
A PASSIONATE TEACHER FOR GODS TRUTH IS A DIMOND AMONG THE MASSES. A PASSIONATE TEACHER IS ONE LIVING IN HOLINES. LET US DEPART FROM ALL THE WORLD OFFERS AND LET US ENJOY GODS PRESENCE AND THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL GOD GIVE US WISDOM AND CREATIVITY.
WE WILL NEVER TEACH EFFECTIVELY IF WE ARE PRACTICING WHAT WE TEACH OTHERS NOT TO DO. GOD WILL NOT BACK UP OUR STATEMENTS WITH HIS ANNOINTING AND BLESSING IF WE DO NOT DEPART FROM SIN. IF I BUMP WORLDLY MUSIC (THE ONE WE KNOW, WE SHOULD NOT BE LISTENING TO) AND WATCH RATED R MOVIES, THEN WE ARE POLLUTED BY THE WAYS OF THE WORLD, AND HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO TEACH OTHERS TO LIVE HOLY LIFES.
I NEVER CEASED TO BE AMAZED AT HOW AWESOME GOD IS BY GIVING US IDEAS AND CREATIVITY TO TEACH WHEN WE ABIDE IN HIM. IN HIM WE FIND ALL THE INGRIDIANTS FOR A GREAT TEACHER ONE THAT THE STUDENTS WILL REMEMBER AND BE IMPACTED BY.
God is waiting for us to dive into his Word to bless us with enlighten of the mind. Oh! He is beautiful.
LETS GO BACK TO THE BASICS OF OUR CALLING AND DEPART FROM SIN, SO GODS’ HOLY FIRE CAN EMVELOP US TO THE POINT WHERE OTHERS (OUR STUDENTS) ARE BLESS BY OUR HOLY LIVES. I WILL SHARE PRACTICAL TECHNICS taught in HOMILITICS (THE ART OF TEACHING) LATER... GATORS.... LOVE YOU FAMILY. TEACH- teachers – TEACH FIRST AND FORMOST WITH OUR LIVES, OUR WALK …. GODS FIRE BE UPON U ALL BELOVED.

Sandy Estrada Comment by Sandy Estrada on July 5, 2008 at 7:01am
Hi My Name is Sandy Estrada and I have been teaching Sunday School for 22 years, I currently am the Childrens Director at our Church in San Gabriel. The lesson The Lord has impressed in my heart this past year has been The need for Parent's to make and have a more active role in their Childs Spiritual Development. We can teach every lesson, plant all the seeds, but it comes down to them to model, and help apply it during the week. We have to continue to make parents aware, they are their childs Primary Discipler, what goes on at home will have more affect on their childs spiritual development. They model the daily discipines we as Christians need to posses and learn. I've seen it to often when parents assume their Children are " Christian's " just because they attend Church with them. I teach The kids, it is not how offten they come, but how they choose to live when they are not at Church. Do they read? Do they Pray? They have to learn about starting a relationship with the Lord and working on it daily. Not just on Sunday...Oh yah, and kids can and do get filled with the Holy Ghost. When they come to our ministries, they are being prepaired to live in an ever increassing wicked world, And classes at school now include same sex relationships. We as teachers need to use every tool availabe to us to keep building these future generations on a solid foundation on Christ.

Naomi R. Limas Comment by Naomi R. Limas on July 2, 2008 at 8:07pm
Isn't great that where ever you are that your still, "teacher so and so, mama there is my teacher". You can be at a fellowship or even the market and they always remember their "teacher". Always remember that you are a living example to these children. Acknowledge them when you see them, greet them with open arms. What has been the funniest thing that one of the children in your class has shared with you?
