China Update - Rory Butler

Greetings all from China.
As some of you know I have been desiring begin having evangelistic
meetings here in a somewhat more public fashion where we can give an
altar call, pray for the sick etc and believe God for miracles (this
would be very different from the house church style of ministry we are
used to). So far I haven't been able to get a place to do it,
partially because due to the upcoming olympics and other current
issues in China the security is tight.

Despite this I have decided to go another route with this outreach.
We will be having a special saturday night meeting in a house where we
will have worship, preaching and a time of praying for the sick and
ministering to the people. We will be inviting and specifically
targeting unbelievers and seekers. Tomorrow the three of us that will
be holding the event will be fasting and praying and then at 6pm we
will start. Please pray God will draw the people, bless us with his
presence and visit with his healing and salvation.

If America is in need of a move of God, China is in a FAR MORE URGENT
SITUATION! This is a country ruled by spiritual ignorance, darkness
and death and destruction are rampaging China. Just tonight after our
Friday night outreach I was out with several of the people that
attended eating dinner and a restaurant about 100 feet away exploded
and burst into flames. People began running and screaming to get
away. We had already ordered our dinner in the restaurant we were in
but had to get up and leave as the power on the street was going out
and the fire spreading. I have no idea what it was, all I know is
there was a large explosion that almost certainly killed people just a
few hundred feet away from us that almost certainly sent people into
eternity unprepared as there is such a tiny percentage of Christians
in this nation. Please pray for me, my ministry and this nation!

Hey I hope you are not talking about the little photo, because i (Robert Jimenez) posted this on behalf of Rory. I am a lot older than Rory, and he is still good looking and skinny, and single. :-)
